The success story of the Marvel cinematic universe and its impact on culture (part 2)
“Dr. Strange” raised important questions of belief in oneself and in the world, questions of perception of reality and how it can be influenced. It is impossible to leave aside the visual part of the film tearing down the roof, breaking ideas about space and time, too. And this visual feast, supported by juicy action and philosophy deep enough for such a film, strongly distinguishes the picture from the General background.Flirting with kosmooperami continued in the sequel “Guardians of the galaxy”, which was crossed with a family drama, and the third “Thor”, which after a rather tedious second film blossomed simply psychedelic. Released a sequel to “ant-Man”, also strongly pressing on family relations. (more…)
(Not)heroes: the story of a deconstructed superhero image in comic book adaptations
Marvel now many took out. More precisely, not even Marvel itself as such, but the dominance of their film comics. Film adaptations are full of stamps and even self-copying (I still laugh at how similar the plots of the third “Thor” and “Black Panther” are, and how much they differ in implementation), and the conveyor feed of content simply tired some viewers, and a trip to the cinema for a fan of comics turned from a holiday into a routine. But then deconstruction burst onto the stage of film adaptations again — and this time it appeared on time and in a big way.
Spoonful of history: the eighties was a difficult period for the comic book industry. Stories began to gradually move away from the riot of colors, irrepressible pathos and ultrapositive, deeper and stronger to consider social problems, to climb into politics, to criticize the existing system, through the prism of other, artificial worlds to tell what is happening in the real world, exaggerating events and their outcomes. “Aquaman”: good old illogical Thriller
The film industry loves to flirt with nostalgia. First of all, this feeling is focused on all sorts of sequels-prequels and other sidequels, clinging to the already famous franchise. But the trick of “Aquaman” (Aquaman) is not even that he is part of the growing cinematic universe of DC. His trick is that the plot he brings the viewer back to the days of militants 80-90s, who wanted to watch with his mouth open.
In the first minutes after the session, I wanted to write a review of this kind: “Six reasons to go to “Aquaman”: 1. Wet half-naked Jason Momoa and also wet, but alas, less naked amber heard;2. Deliciously traced underwater world; 3. The plot of the disney cartoon about princesses; 4. A sudden despatch of mod’s “It’s No Good” somewhere in the middle and no less sudden Sigur Ros; 5. Absolutely indianojones desert with underground caves and artifacts;6. Bright and juicy picture, giving a sense of celebration. Continue reading
“Lion king”: digital ” in the animal world»
It feels like Disney decided to reshoot its entire catalog. Well, maybe someday they will get to “El Dorado”, “Atlantis” or “treasure Planet” , but for now they are releasing remakes of much more famous paintings. The updated “lion King” (Lion King) was called “one of the most anticipated films of this year.” The question — and anyone really expect? Did anyone really want it?
No one needs it except Disney. The whole film is such a boast of modern technology, and nothing else: they say, look how we can! We can draw a realistic Savannah, run into it realistic-looking animals that will move realistically. Not a single living creature, except for 3D Visualizers, was harmed in the making of the film. And the picture really looks very cool. The film at all reminds episode “in world animals”, and very, it is a pity that in Russian dubbing not there was seats for Nikolai Drozdov — he would modicum as any revived this parade digital dolls.
